Mokona scuba dives!
So after almost an entire school semester of no posting I am back again :D

School was super busy :(
Passed all classes with good enough grades (even an B in physics and that class hates me)
Applied to go abroad in Japan and was accepted. Osaka here I come!

Other news: CAN'T wait for AZ . Need a break from school like nobody's business. Working on a car pool from here just cause I don't have a car. If that doesn't work I might be able to ask a friend I didn't know that was staying for summer school if they are going this year.

Speaking of summer school...classes start tomorrow and the dining hall is only going to be open from 5pm-7pm until June. No breakfast or lunch just dinner. WHAT in the heck D:

That is pretty much all I've been doing. School, school, and more school. I think I am tired of school. But after this semester I'll only have one left. Not even a year, just a semester left and I can graduate :D

First update in forever :O

School has been super busy and at the moment several of my classes seem to like kicking my butt.

I just want some free time :(

Besides school:
I saw Coraline (not in 3-D...more expensive and my friends and I are cheap college kids)
I've been to several awesome concerts (all classical :D)
In the process of applying abroad

School related:
Taken an Organic exam
Taken an Ecology exam (which sucked)
Taken several Japanese quizzes (one of which kicked my butt)
I should start studying for my Ichthyology exam
Physics exam coming up D: D: D:
Organic lab exam coming up D: D:

I don't really like Feb much and it doesn't like me :(

March will hopefully be better.

So. What have I been up to for the last couple of months?
I got to see the Vienna Boys Choir :D
I got to see this Irish/Celtic band called Cherish the Ladies :D
I got to see the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra :D
I got to see a flute soloist from France :D
I talked to two Japanese university students on Skype for my Japanese class and it was awesome :O

Then it became the last full week of school in November and school decided to crush me. Last week was the worst D: It was the week from Satan. I had 6 exams and a huge paper (worth as much as the final exam in that class). I looked like this for most of this week D: D: D: D: D: D: D: D: D: D: D: D: D: D:
Yesterday was my recharge day. I stayed in the school theater and watched all three extended editions of LOTR for free :D I felt so much better after that.

Now I have yet another paper to write for that same class that the other paper was for. I have no idea how to write it. I've never written an OP-ED before D: I plan on spending all day doing this and finishing it tonight. It's on 3-4 pages so its manageable in one day.

I am going to spend thanksgiving with dad and possibly most of Christmas break with him. Thanksgiving break will be full of studying for a marine bio lab practical that I have to take when I get back from break. I also have some papers to write over break as well D:
So this isn't really a break...its more like I don't have to worry about going to class and get all this work done time.

So November officially hates me. Other than that I've been ok. Looking forward to not getting up at 6:30 in the morning for a couple of days and going to class. My roommate and I are planning a surprise gift for Sarah (other roommate) and party for her birthday. Its been fun running around trying to get everything without rousing her suspicions :D

I guess that's about it...I've been busy.
Looking forward to Christmas break :D

Random update-ish

 • Sep. 3rd, 2008 at 10:59 PM
Mokona yawns
I am being crushed by homework D:
Other than that this school semester is awesome :D (Marine Biology is an awesome class...I don't even realize that 50 minutes has passed when she tells us it's time to go)
I might get to see Speed Racer again if Hanna doesn't ruin my Friday night with wind and rain.

My roommate made cookies from scratch :D THEY ARE AWESOME.

Other random stuff: I might go to Bush Garden's for Fall break, I won't go home until Christmas, I am going to a ton of concerts this year :O (Vienna boy's choir, Chapter 6, Cherish the Ladies, Warsaw Phil, Mozart opera, Sleeping Beauty (put on by a russian ballet company), a flute solo concert, a piano trio, and a 'music from the movies' concert) <-- $85 total :O :O If I wasn't a student that would have been close to $200 in tickets. I got the choir, Warsaw, opera, and sleeping beauty tickets...all 4 of them for $45. A single ticket would have been $55 and for non-students all 4 was $135. I got a good deal.

That's about it. I'm busy, lots of homework, lots of procrastination, lots of "WILL WE BE DROWNED IN WATER?!?!?" going on at the moment. I guess if anything exciting happens then I'll update again.

From the Otakon website:
About signs...
Please note that signs asking for food, money, hugs, etc. are considered panhandling by the Baltimore Police department, and signs offering to exchange any sort of sexual favor (kisses, hugs, glomps, etc.) are considered solicitation.

glomps are considered a kind of sexual solicitation :O
Who knew...now if you are glomped you could claim sexual harassment.
"AH YOU GLOMPED ME!!!11!1!! I CLAIM SEXUAL HARASSMENT"

I can imagine trying to explain this one in court...
Person: sir, this person glomped me.
Judge: what exactly is glomping?
Person: well...its this running hug...
Judge: how is this sexual harassment then?
Person: well, i...uh, well i didn't consent...and there was this sign.

Also: why would anyone want a hug from a stranger? This confuses me.
end of randomness

BAD DICAPRIO BAD.

SEABIRDS ARE REALLY CAR ALARMS

 • Feb. 20th, 2008 at 4:30 PM
Eh?>aysha_aka
This is just really random but today there was a seagull that sounded like a car alarm...I think it was on crack. I wanted something to record it with too. It was like one of those changing car alarms too. It started off kinda annoying/normal car alarm then it started squawking kinda longish...again it was on crack.

Also: going to attempt to watch the lunar eclipse tonight :D
Hope it isn't cloudy.

Emanuel Ax and the days to come

Brain is broke>_andricongirl
I saw Emanuel Ax last night :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D XD THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH HAPPY FACES THAT I CAN MAKE TO EXPRESS HOW HAPPY AND EXCITED I WAS TO BE ABLE TO SEE/HEAR HIM.
He is a world renowned pianist and I got to see him for $15. Tickets for general public was $35.

Anywho, he played four pieces and an encore and his fingers moved so fast that sometimes you couldn't really see individual fingers. The music he played had a lot of difficult runs and technical stuff and was awesometastic. He was awesometastic. That was the highlight of my night last night.

Before I saw him I took a final, a lab practical, worked on my final english paper...then after I saw him I was up till 2 finishing my paper that was due in class today. I got it done but it was a piece of crap. Good thing we are peer editing or else my final grade for that class would suck.

I'm going to eat at Genki Sushi tonight with Yoshimasa, Eva, Sarah, and probably this girl named Anna who is friends with Yoshi and Eva. Yoshi is only here for the semester and Eva is from Spain (she went with me last night along with Sarah and Amanda). We are going to Cold Stone afterwards because Yoshi hasn't had this type of American ice cream yet...in fact I don't think Eva has either.

I will probably crash tonight because my brain is telling me to not think. 'Cept this will be the first weekend I've had with a small amount of homework in it and I want to finish reading the Golden Compass before it comes out in theaters.
I'll probably read.
Book > Sleep.

Eh?>aysha_aka
IT FINALLY RAINED :D
Then it went from super nice to freezing cold in under 30 minutes I swear.

Other than that I probably just failed my chemistry test D:
I'll know soon enough.
EDIT: I did horribly but the curve for the test is giant...so I did so-so now.

I can't wait till break. Even if break isn't really a break.
Three papers. THREE to type over break.
I have two lab practicals and a final when I get back so that means lots of studying :O
I would like to spend at least one day not working.

So.
Yeah.
I'll update again later with something important.
